Thomas Carandi (Kyosho NOVA AKA) takes the win in front of Vincent Mertens Kyosho NOVA AKA. Stephane Deroch, finished third.

In brushless class, Thomas Carandi finishes 2nd.

Jerome Delcourt takes the win. Francois Nironi finishes 3rd

Report from Silverstone winter series

Last Weekend saw the first round of the ever popular Silverstone Winter Series at Moulton College near Northampton. Most entries were in the 2wd class with over 90 people competing.

Round 1 would see lots of errors by the top drivers but it would be Kyosho driver Elliot Boots who would take the round from Greg Williams and David Poulter. Rounds 2 and 3 would see Team Orion driver David Poulter take the top spot and give him provisional TQ going into the last round with only Elliot Boot being able to challenge for the overall TQ. Elliot had a few issues before the start of his run which would see him retire leaving David to take the TQ of the meeting ahead of his Schumacher Teammates Simon Moss & Nathan Walters with Greg Williams 4th.

The finals saw some very close racing by the top 4 drivers as they pulled a small gap over the rest with David leading for most of the final but a small

Last weekend I attended the PetitRC Race in Terrugum, Portugal along with
other drivers from Poland, Holland, France, Germany, Spain & Portugal. The
track was a permanently laid outdoor astro track and the layout made for
close racing all weekend.

The event format was for free practice on Friday, 2wd Qualifying & Finals
Saturday, and 4wd Sunday, allowing plenty of track time.

2wd qualifying was lead by Tom Cockerill, taking TQ from Fábio Ramos and
David Poulter completing the top three. After the triple leg 7 minute finals
the top 3 would remain in qualifying position with Tom taking the win.

4wd qualifying would see Nuno Roque find form to take TQ, followed by David
Poulter and Fábio Ramos completing the top 3. The 7 minute finals would see
some very close racing in all 3 legs. It was Tom Cockerill coming through
from 4th on the grid to take the win, followed by Nuno and David.
