Hi all A report on the last round of our National from Wakefield.
We headed up the north end of the Country for our last round, in confident mood as we had already secured the 2012 National Championship.

Day 1 Timed Practice
We were presented with a nice dirt track, weather was extremely warm 2 degrees, it looked like it was going to be extremely dry and dusty. We
got on the track for our 2 sessions of timed practice where Elliott had hit the top spot. We were in confident mood for a good qualification.
We decided that after practice where we were using our AKA cross brace tyres in super soft, to start qualification (as the track was cleaining up) with AKA impact super soft and we were going to use our
Novarossi BTTS motor as we needed to have smooth delivery with the car as the track was low grip with all the dust. We also decided to put a plastic carbon clutch to smooth the power out even more. The track was
quite difficult to drive with all the jumps breaking up where it was so dry. We were able to take a 2nd and a 3rd in the first 2 rounds and in round 3 we took TQ and with another 2nd and a 3rd in the rounds we were
able to secure 2nd place. Unfortunately we lost out on TQ to one of the local drivers who had plenty of time on the track. This
was our first time on the track since last year so we were quite happy with our qualification as it gave us 1st position in our semi final.
We had our semi final practice and decided to make some changes to the car. We decided to try the AKA enduro soft tyre as the track was
breaking up badly and was becoming very aggressive to drive. We also decided to put a lot of camber on the car on the rear and after trying
it in our semi practice Elliott was extremely happy with it. We also made some changes to the roll centre on the front which helped smooth
the steering out more and made it less aggressive so we had a much better car, which was easier to drive and was able to give Elliot consistent lap times.
Semi Final
Elliott was on pole for the semi in which he won. He had a great drive and was able to be the fastest semi final driver by 23 seconds from Lee
Martin, which enabled Elliott to have pole position for the 45 minute Main A Final.
Main A Final
Elliott set off with a clean start and immediately started to pull away from the pack and it wasn't long before Elliott had a commanding lead,
which he had done at the previous round. With his faultless driving and the reliability of his MP9 TKI 3 and his Novarossi BTTS and his AKA
Enduro Tyres was able to set fastest laps of the race and of the meeting and was able to take a comfortable, well deserved A Final win
by 2 laps, which is a great achievement as he has made history in being able to win every A Final and take pole position at every round of a
British National Championship.

It has been a fantastic Championship for us securing the title and we would like to thank all our great sponsors, Kyosho International,
Novarossi Engines, AKA Tyres, LRP, Samwar, Ultimate Racing, SMD, Ghea Racing, Racing Experience Fuel, Maugrafix, Bitty Design, Rude Bits, Racer Magazine and LMR. With all this great support and with such an
awesome package and with Elliott's confidence with all his equipment and reliability he can head off to Argentina to the World Championships in December looking for a great result.
Regards
Elliott and Chris Boots
